How do I estimate a quote for the commission I'd like? |

|
1.) Multiply the width by the height of the size painting you'd like 2.) Multiply this by the price per square inch to figure labor pricing. 3.) If there is only one subject, simply add the base price to this for you total.

EXAMPLE:
|
10"w x 10"h = 100 square inches 100 sq in x $1.25 per square inch(psi) = $125.00 labor $125.00 + $250 base |

If you have more than one subject, after completing the second step, multiply that number by the required percentage. For an additional person, this would be 50%; for a large subject, such as a horse, this would be 25%; and small subjects, such as a dog or cat, it would be 10%. Add this number to the original labor pricing amount for the total. |

Terms of the Commission |

|

|
|
|
Once the buyer has agreed to a portrait design a contract outlining the terms of the commission is signed and 50% is due. If there is a waiting list, a deposit of 15% will be charged and 35% will be expected once the painting is ready to begin. The remaining 50% will be due upon completion. Depending on the size, number of subjects, and detail, the buyer can expect delivery of their portrait in a minimum of 8-12 weeks. |

Note Cards and Prints |

The buyer may also purchase note cards and prints of their painting at a discounted price. A set-up fee is charged as well as shipping costs. Allow additional time for delivery. When the buyer receives their quote for their commission they will also receive a free quote for a personalized note card/print package One-time set-up fee ..........................................................$75.00 + s/h Set-up fees and shipping costs may be waived. Ask for details. |

All materials used are of archival quality. Base price and note card/print prices are subject to change. Labor prices are good through December 2010. This contains only basic information. Inquiries are welcome. Once studio renovation is completed, visits will be welcome by appointment. |
