WEndi Gunter ~ colored pencil artist
I am a self-taught artist from north-central Idaho. I've been drawing since I could hold a pencil and about 20 years ago I added in color, which I love! My favorite subjects are horses and children. I used to work close to full-time in the studio and did quite a bit of commission work, but I had to take a lengthy hiatus in order to focus on my children (my husband and I homeschool) and deal with some major life events. However, I'm excited to now be able to get back to the easel, even though it will only be part-time. I'm looking forward to expanding my portfolio with new pieces!
Along with making my own art, I love to teach! I'm very happy to be able to have offer private lessons again (spots will be limited) and am currently working on some classroom opportunities Over the years, I have taught private lessons, in public school, and community classes (grade-school children as young as 6 through HS students). I love helping young people gain confidence (and have a whole lot of fun) through exploring art! Art has something for everyone!
